Notes for installation of butterfly check valve

Posted by Bundor valve
Butterfly check valves allow the medium to flow in only one direction and prevent it from flowing in that direction.Normally the valve operates automatically and the disc opens under the pressure of the fluid flowing in one direction; When the fluid flows in the opposite direction, the pressure of the fluid and the disc self-coincidence disc act on the seat to cut off the flow.

Butterfly check valve disc is disc-shaped, around the valve seat channel axis for rotary movement, because the valve channel into streamline, flow resistance is smaller than the rising butterfly check valve, suitable for low velocity and flow is not often changing large diameter occasions, but not for pulsating flow, its sealing performance is not as good as the lifting type.

Notes for installation of butterfly check valve

1.Installation should pay attention to the installation position, height, inlet and outlet direction must meet the design requirements, the direction of medium flow should be consistent with the direction of the arrow marked by the valve body, the connection must be firm and tight, to prevent medium leakage.

2.Before installation, check the valve appearance. The nameplate of the valve can only be installed and used if it conforms to the relevant provisions of the current national standard.

3. For check valves with working pressure greater than 1.0mpa, strength and rigor performance tests should be conducted before installation, and can only be used after passing the test.During the strength test, the test pressure shall be 1.5 times of the nominal pressure and the duration shall be no less than 5min. The valve shell and packing shall be qualified if there is no leakage.During the tightness test, the test pressure is 1.1 times of the nominal pressure.

4.In the line, the check valve shall not be borne by the check valve, and the large check valve shall be independently supported to affect the pressure of the tube system.
