Features of stainless steel valves

Posted by Bundor valve
Stainless steel valve, in another word, is a valve made of stainless steel. It can be divided into 301, 304, 316, 304L, and 316L etc. According to international standards, it can be divided into CF8, CF3, CF8M, cf3m, and the quality of material: CF8 < CF3 < CF8M < cf3m. Because stainless steel material has strong corrosion resistance, easy forming, high compatibility, and can maintain strength and toughness in a wide temperature range, so that, these advantages make stainless steel valve widely used in heavy industry, light industry, household goods industry and building decoration industry.
SS304/316 Body Butterfly Valve
Stainless steel refers to the steel resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam, water and chemical corrosive media such as acid, alkali and salt, also known as stainless acid resistant steel. Stainless steel valve is also known as stainless and acid resistant steel valve, which is not easy to rust, and also resistant to acid and alkali corrosion. The results show that the corrosion resistance of steel increases with the increase of chromium content in the atmosphere, water and nitric acid. When the chromium content reaches a certain percentage, the corrosion resistance of steel will changed abruptly, that is, from easy to rust to not easy to rust, from non corrosion to corrosion resistance.
Common stainless steel valves include stainless steel butterfly valve and stainless steel ball valve. Gate valves are rarely made of stainless steel because they are used in low corrosive media such as water.
Stainless steel butterfly valve, also known as stainless steel flap valve, is usually made of triple eccentric metal hard seal structure. The valve body, valve seat and disc sealing surface are all made of stainless steel with different hardness. It has strong corrosion resistance and long service life. It is widely used in metallurgical, electric power, petrochemical, water supply and drainage, municipal construction and other industrial pipelines with medium temperature ≤ 425 ℃.
Stainless steel ball valves are usually required to be installed horizontally in the pipeline. Stainless steel ball valve can be divided into stainless steel pneumatic ball valve, stainless steel electric ball valve and stainless steel manual ball valve according to the driving mode. According to different stainless steel materials, it is divided into 304,316,321 stainless steel ball valve. The switch of stainless steel ball valve is light and can be made into large caliber, it also has reliable sealing, simple structure and convenient maintenance. Sealing surface and spherical surface are often in closed state, not easy to be eroded by medium, and have applications in various industries.
