Proper installation method for Y Strainer
First, the threaded surfaces of all pipes in the Y Strainer should be carefully cleaned before installation, and proper amount of pipe sealant or teflon tape should be used.The end threads are not treated to prevent sealant or teflon tape from entering the piping system.
Second, the Y Strainer can be installed horizontally or vertically downward.Only when installing, pay attention to the material of the gasket of the filter.If non-metallic material, it is easy to damage due to high temperature.
Again, pay attention to the direction of the strainer in the different pipes. Okay?For example, the direction of the filter in the gas pipeline should be horizontal, while the filter in the liquid pipeline should be installed downward.
